A GARDEN OF
(Mostly) QUATRAINS

THE COCONUT

If You'd crack one small hole
In the hard husk of this coconut
I'd taste sweet milk of Soul
And never let mankind forget
That Bliss is each one's goal!

A VOW (!)

To do my work
each merry day,
Within Your game
that's wholly play!

LOVE'S TERMITES

Termites of Love,
grind and grind.
Bore your Love-Holes
in my mind,
So it collapses
like an old porch of wood,
That's outlived usefulness
and its good.

THE GARDEN

Tulips of every
Shade and hue
Blossom in Spring,
While hid from view,
The Roots' Foundation,
Deep in the soil,
Serves in unsung,
Sacred toil.

MORE TULIPS

Tulips smiling at the Sun,
In their bright wardrobes. Every one
In the Human Order, too—
Unique fragrance, unique hue.

TO EACH ITS OWN

Like child at play,
The Soul loves God
In its own way,
And needs no prod.

WORRY

Worry's little gnat
Upsets mind's elephant.
Don't let him do that!
Sit on the little runt!

NURSERY RHYME

Steady, steady,
Lover, Shine.
Forget yourself
And God is thine.
Let your Love-Light
Beam its Cheer.
Re-make the world
Right now, Right here!

A SMILE

A Smile's the greatest
thing to give,
So Smile like the Sun
on all who live.
No need to utter any word.
Your Smile brings Life,
and all is heard!

AND..LAUGHTER

Laughter is a gentle breeze,
That shakes those stuck, with gentle tease,
Balloons skirts of the staid and stern,
And lets the fresh, clear air return.
