Comic Relief
Shattuck just off University

I apologize for not getting pictures that really catch the atmosphere of this avant-garde center. I've read enough to have a dim awareness that "comics are where it's at". Novels, plays, journalistic pieces, even the stories of operas, are being rendered as "illustrated books" to which we give the name comics.
This large cavern of a store, just opened (it was previously up near the Act One Theater) has a true "cutting edge" feel. A loudspeaker played very early Dylan as I browsed. I was too shy to ask permission to photograph the inside of the store, which would have better caught the atmosphere of the place.
